Many of us are
interested in keeping fit these days. It feels good to get out and
walk or work out. But getting motivated to do it, and on a regular
basis can be 90% of the challenge. It's always nice to have workout
partners who share your interest in keeping healthy. This is a real
motivator. And it's great to have a goal or a purpose to your workout
that you can see. Keeping active can result in a healthier body and
mind, more energy, and a more balanced lifestyle. But
as great as they are, these results are often difficult to see and to measure
on a daily basis, and so we set more visible goals for ourselves such as
"1 hour per day" or "10 laps after dinner", etc. But what about a
completely different goal? Cleaning up litter provides us with a very visible and
satisfying goal. So much so that a healthier body and lifestyle practically
become just a wonderful side effect.
