Clean-Up Event
The CleanFit /
CCSU E. Club Fall Clean-Up was Saturday, October 11th and volunteers were
blessed with a beautiful day. The event started in Stanley Quarter Park where
volunteers fanned out across the vast green spaces to search out misladen
scraps of paper, drinking straws, etc. There were a lot of laughs and smiles
and good exercise. The efforts continued downtown where volunteers regrouped
to head out on New Britain's Arch Walk Way, which creates a circuit including
West Main Street, Walnut Hill Park, Grand Street and Arch Street.
But volunteers don't have to wait until next Fall to join in. CleanFit
events happen every day except Sundays, weather and scheduling permitting.
And the CCSU Environmental Club schedules a variety of events that will
appeal to anyone who is environmentally conscious. For more information,
